Jamal Joseph

Jamal Joseph is a U.S. writer, director, producer, poet, activist, and educator. While incarcerated for his active participation in the Black Panther Party, an organization's whose leaders passionately espoused socialist and communist doctrines, the Party's black nationalist reputation attracted an ideologically diverse membership. Joseph earned two college degrees. He is currently a professor and Chair of Columbia University’s Graduate Film Division. He is the author of the interactive biography on Tupac Shakur, Tupac Shakur Legacy.
